A Dream...

Hi friends!  This is a canvas I created using lots of Clearsnap goodies!
The background was stamped with Donna Salazar's Swirls stamp and embossed with Clearsnap embossing powder.
Then I added texture with Ceramic Stucco and a stencil.  The entire background was then sprayed with Cashmere Smooch Spritz and inked with Petals Chox and Stormy Inx (Mix'd Media Inx).
The quote is made up of Dusty Attic chipboard words and cut letters.
Most of these flowers were made by hand using Donna's Bitty Blossoms dies.
To finish off my canvas, I added gorgeous Zva Creative pearls to my chipboard flourish.

Until next time!

Memories

Hi everyone!  This is a layout I made using another one of Lydell Quin's sketches.  I love her sketches... they really bring out my creativity!
For this layout, I used paper, canvas and burlap by Canvas Corp.  I suppose I was in a 'krafty' mood when I made this!  LOL
The title is a chipboard element made by The Dusty Attic.  I just inked it with Truffle Mix'd Media Inx.  The photo is of my hubby and I on our wedding day in 2010.
Beneath the photos, there are layers of goodies such as paper, canvas, burlap and chipboard chicken wire.
How gorgeous are these metal charms?!  You can find them at Handmade Halo along with LOTS of other embellies!  The little kraft flowers are handmade from Bitty Blossoms dies.  I love these dies because I never have a problem finding matching flowers for my projects b/c I can make them from coordinating paper.  I still have a few of these die sets in my store.
... manila tags with hemp cord...
... and a stitched & stapled heart... ouch!
I also tucked canvas under the edges of my background paper.  I love the soft texture of it! Thanks for stopping by!  Until next time...

Two Hearts, One Soul

Hi friends! Today I have the honor of sharing a layout I made as a Guest Designer at Scrap Africa, a site that holds different types of challenges.
I was given this lovely sketch to work with.  If you look closely at my layout, I used stitched circles to portray the circles in the sketch.  The papers I used are by Pion Design.  I combined two different collections - Fairytale of Spring and Studio of Memories.  All of the papers I used for this layout are available in my shop.
The gorgeous cream-colored flower is a Resin Briar Rose from Handmade Halo.  The bottom is perfectly flat so it is easy to adhere to any project.  I love the realistic look of it! The couple in the photo is my dad and step-mom.  :o)
...such a beautiful quote. The gorgeous Decorative Scroll surrounding the photos is made by The Dusty Attic.  It is a double-layered chipboard element that is adhered together to create this 3 dimensional look.  I added pearls to further decorate this ornate piece.
The two center flowers are made from Bitty Blossoms dies by Spellbinders.  The chipboard heart button is also made by The Dusty Attic.
The title is made up of letters cut from the Pion Design cut-out sheet and chipboard words.
I tried to make the background detailed, yet subtle.  I splattered a touch of sky blue paint to bring out the blue in the papers.  I used an ink and stencil to create a tile texture, and I stitched designs onto the background.

These pearls are manufactured by Zva Creative.  I love the quality of their pearls/bling.
